Tree Work is a dangerous and hazardous industry. As of 2019, the tree care industry is listed as the 4th most dangerous job in the country. Working with living organisms that are affected by a variety of risk factors coupled with the dangerous equipment used to work on them (such as chainsaws, aerial lifts, rigging equipment, and chippers) creates an environment rife with potential hazards. A responsible tree company will utilize proper planning, training, education, experience, and equipment to help mitigate the risks but accidents can still happen.
